Обязанности:
• Regular daily responsibilities: compile and file the morning currency exchange table, press digest when needed, file bank ratings tables, coordinate with Moscow buro what needs to be filed or repeated on the wire from the previous day. Once a month, compile statistics data tables (requires concentration and accuracy) and storify on merit if there a sharp fall/rise in any commodity production or exports. Read morning papers before 9am, file newspaper pickups if required or share info with other team members
• Cover his/her own beat sectors: metals and mining, telecoms, auto, machinery. Responsible for closely following all developments in these sectors, conducting regular interviews and writing broad market overviews every now and then (particularly on metals and machinery). Most metals companies are listed in London so needs to watch LSE stock prices and coordinate RNS coverage with the International service and Moscow Russian service editors. Needs to have an excellent command of business English to be able to translate quotes and press releases quickly from RNS into Russian when covering RNS earnings reports or company statements
• Has to be a fast, accurate and responsible writer who can desk the main Russian Service correspondent when they are away on reporting assignments. Likewise, must have essential reporting skills and news judgement to cover news conferences and file quotes via the main Russian service corro
• Acts as news assistant: gathers information during breaking news, has all the necessary contact numbers to confirm urgent news while other members of the team are busy writing, acts as a second pair of eyes for the main Russian service corro
Требования:
• Strong English to be able to translate financial statements quickly into Russian
• Excellent writing skills in Russian
• Good understanding of financial markets/economy
• Strong willingness to learn fast and set high ambitions for oneself
• Good team player who is ready to work irregular hours
