J’son & Partners is looking for a dynamic video editor who can meet a demanding video shooting schedule.

Job requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience editing videos at a major online publication/network or major market level TV production facility.
• Expert working experience with Adobe Premiere Pro (PC platform) or Final Cut Pro (Mac platform) software packages, knowledge of other programs is a plus.
• Overall knowledge of video standards, including:
◦ Widescreen video formatting
◦ FPS (Frames per second)
◦ Sound and Video quality
◦ Control of video resolutions
◦ Knowledge of mainstream video codecs (XVid, H.264 , MPEG4, AVCDH, MTS, and etc…)
◦ Video player configuration
◦ Video conversion process through proper engine usage
• Must also know how to:
◦ Package videos for web developers in order to upload (have tags, reviewed by PR and consultants, adding subtitles, cleaning up video quality).
◦ Prepare proper backgrounds for videos (quality control).
◦ Carefully handle all video equipment.
• Individual must be able to work under tight schedule, multitask, be multi-skilled and have strong creative story-telling skills.
• Must have good project management skills and be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be detail oriented and have an ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Must have excellent knowledge of Russian and English.

Job Duties:

• Edit unique video content for J’son & Partners Web-TV Project.
• for all areas related to digital video editing production process (clean up raw footage, convert to proper format, edit resolution, add subtitles and other text, cut out unnecessary video, add proper metadata [tags, reviews, title, description) to finished videos and more)
• Must work closely with rest of team members, including PR and Marketing departments.
• Follow a predetermined weekly/daily video editing schedule.
